Mount Regis Center is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 405 Kimball Avenue in Salem, Virginia. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Mount Regis Center. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Mount Regis Center.
If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Mount Regis Center, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.
The staff members at Mount Regis Center have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Mount Regis Center. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.
Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Mount Regis Center can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

Wonderful staff made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Excellent accommodations and food. Perfect environment to start over.
Excellent program and staff. They become very much like family. Great follow up as well.
This was my third treatment center and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The counselors were very thorough and had so much knowledge I have learned more than I ever expected. If you need help please call them today.
The MOST AMAZING treatment experience I have ever had. Amazing staff and exceptional living conditions. If you are serious about reclaiming your life and want help.. I can't recommend a better treatment center.
I am so thankful for Mount Regis, most of the staff are recovering addicts as well so they can relate to what you're going through just as much as you going through it. I worked through things I have never worked through before with all of the support in the world. I would recommend Mt Regis to ANYONE in need of help, you learn so much about yourself and this disease of addiction. My counselor was Joe and I will forever be thankful for him but I've spoken 1 on 1 to every counselor there and they have all been more than helpful to me. Everyone is so nonjudgmental and accepting no matter what your situation is.
I could never say enough great things about Mount Regis Center! From admissions to nursing to the phenomenal clinical team, this is the place to go if you want to get better and learn how to stay clean! They saved my life and I will be forever grateful.
Mount Regis was a great experience for me i learned so much it was such a great program all of the staff was great loving like a large great family my counselor Heather was outstanding and if i can be an inspiration to others let me know and i will gladly do what i can love my Mount Regis family.
Mint Regis was a perfect place for my recovery. The counseling was excellent and it was an experience that will definitely change my life. Thank you to all who work there!!!
It was time for me to go to Treatment. I had tried everything and I just couldn't stop drinking. Mt. Regis was what I needed. A safe place with excellent counselors and a rigorous program. This place works if you work it. I received a great deal of information about my problem and solid support to begin a plan of action. I hope to stay involved there and give back. My counselor Jenny was simply the best. The nursing staff was compassionate. The food was good and there sure was plenty of it. If you're in trouble Mt Regis is the place to go. It's not easy but it's worth it. Best of luck! Dave P.
I have to say that this treatment facility is a Real life saver. I was on a Downward spiral for 17 + Years . The Moment I Got There I was Greeted with open Harts and Love. The staff ( That I call FAMILY NOW really helped me with Everything That I struggled with.) I’m so Thankful That I Have a New LIFE Now . And thank you Heather For Listening to me and guiding me in the Right direction. 👏😇 And to All... Have A Blessed Forever....
It was a awesome experience great counslers and staff learned so much
The folks at Mount Regis were and still are amazing people. It’s been just over a year of me being clean and I can’t thank them enough. The staff were always willing to talk to you and share their own personal stories. I spent many nights talking with the staff and watching CNN(seemed like the only channel that was ever on in the waiting area!). Kurt is an amazing man/angel. Dealing with severe chronic pain and no longer taking pain meds was tough. One day he came and sat with me while I was dealing with a flare up. He then asked the staff to call around and find an acupuncture clinic and then paid for the first session for me. I will never forget that and he will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks again for all the help and can’t wait to come down for a tour of your new facility!
Mt. Regis was life-changing and life-saving for me. As a first time patient in a recovery center, I was lost in the process, confused about my alcoholism, and scared of change. The staff at Mt. Regis, from admissions, to nursing, to counselors, to kitchen staff and housekeeping, to the CEO, were all dedicated to providing the best care, support, and environment for my recovery. EVERY member of the staff worked to create that positive atmosphere I needed to conquer my addiction to alcohol. Whether it was my counselor(s) teaching me and helping identify the tools I had to overcome my obstacles, the cook who came out and hugged each person in the lunch line, or “Ba-loo” (the centers service dog), it was apparent to me early in treatment that everyone on the staff had their heart and soul dedicated to helping others. Special thanks to Heather M., Dee D., and Jennie for teaching “Me to drive the bus again”, “that work is NOT my higher power”, and that a “walk in the woods”(guided imagery) can mean so much more.
The road to recovery isn't easy and it was hard to accept that I had become a addict. Once I got to Mt.Regis I found out that I wasn't alone and I could truly have a better life. The counselors there are top notch and helped me to get track on the life I want and deserve. The staff and people I met there are all like family to me now. If anyone is struggling with addiction I would highly recommend you go there , your worth it
The staff are amazing everyone is super dedicated to your recovery
I just got back from spending 6 weeks at this place. I didn't want to be there at first but I must admit it was the best decision. The staff seems to really care about people. The program is good. The food is good and the building is clean and looks new. I feel healthy for the first time in years and I feel like I'm gonna make it.
My cousin was a patient at Mount Regis several years ago. Our family will be forever greatful to the staff as our loved one has had the opportunity to enjoy now years of sobriety. Through intensive care programs and treatment, Mount Regis gave back a life that had been taken over by substance abuse. The people at Mount Regis are knowledgeable and caring and it shows in their classes and their work. We tried several different facilities and much to our dismay, after years of struggling and seeking help, we were by some lucky chance referred to Mount Regis and we believe that it was a decision that allowed our loved one to live. Excellent facilities, top notch staff, a caring environment, and a family of support. These are the things that you know you are getting with Mount Regis. Please take the opportunity to seek the help and support of Mount Regis as I know they will impact your life as they have mine and my families for the better. We will always be thankful for the life changing help our loved ones received. Thank you Mount Regis.
i was impressed with the facilities, the faculty and treatment. although some of the group therapies got out of hand with persons who didn't want to be there, but was forced there by the legal system, the overall experience was awesome and yes, i would definitely recommend this place
Great place, very clean and organized. Staff is friendly and helpful. Looking to detox or a new career path in healthcare this is the place to go!
I recommend Mount Regis Center without hesitation. The program is attentive to each client's needs; the care and support unconditional; the services are comprehensive and evidence based. Clients who I have referred to this facility have asked for longer stays and returned in full "recovery" mode. Bravo to Mount Regis for prevailing after such a tragedy, and opening their doors again in record time!
Everything about my time at Mount Regis was excellent! The treatment surpassed my expectations. It set me on the path of recovery and gave me needed tools. The staff were attentive, respectful, and always there to help. I liked the outings and attendance to community AA/NA meetings. I would highly recommend this center to anyone struggling with addiction!
I came here this past summer i must say its a lovely place most of the staff is wonderful ,however they will tell you that you can see the doctor when you wants that a lie i watched patients come and ask if they could see the doctor they were sent away with i will ask him now as im sitting shotgun ready to go in to see doc i watch the same patients walk back up and ask what did the doc say she reply's NO he will not see you mind you im sitting back behind the glass next inline not once did this staff member ask the doc if that patient could be seen .I saw this go on each time i was waiting to see the doctor. when your detoxing the whole point of coming to a place is for comfort and help!! . that in my eyes was major disrespect to the patients and integrity of MT. Regis .i did bring it up during house meetings in which there was no change .also while i was there the financial lady got in some heat as she was trying to over charge a few patients that had paid there whole stay up front and was telling them there gonna need more money to stay well after a bunch of craziness turns out the patients called her bluff and was correct they didn't owe anymore money .so you will see this happen while your there i can bet on it . also while i was there i noticed meds being bought and sold and given away or stashed .i also noticed patients having sex in the laundry rooms and or bedrooms .supervision is limited at night . since there building a new center as i was told from several staff that all they see right now is money to make sure they can complete the new build.you don't get to go on many outings they take you to a golds gym were you restricted to certain equipment .for 10 days you cant go on any outing .gym and a place to pet the horses is about it and n.a. and a.a. meetings at churches . what makes the place great is the family bond with other patients . if im done right i will remove this post i know my research to find a great place heavily relied on google reviews. because all the chaos going on i left a few days earlier and thanks to a place near me im still clean to this day !!
This place is so wonderfu!! This is the place to go to for "help"! They have food available 24/7. They allow patients to call home 4 days a week. They have the nicest staff. I could go on & on about how great this place is! They do activities w/the patients & take them to a gym. They go off campus to meetings. Again, i highly recommend Mount Regis. You won't be disappointed in their facilty or services. The only thing that i would change is to have their family visitation on the weekend b/c most people work during the week but its a small sacrifice to make to know my loved one is getting the help they so deperately need.
The time spent at Mt. Regis helped me to develop an understanding of my addictive personality. I accepted my addictions while there, and realized that the only way for me to function as a happy adult was to live a sober life. Very Grateful.
